Tree of 40 Crowns, Gingko Biloba, herbs for Alzheimer’s

Native to China, and at home in our back yard near Munising, Michigan the leaves of the gingko biloba tree top the list of herbs used for alzheimer’s.

The tree grows up to 40 meters tall and the species is called a living fossil, estimated to be 250 million years old. Fan-shaped leaves resemble crowns.

Gingkolide in the leaves improves circulation and functioning in the brain. – The nuts are edible & medicinal as well.

Amazingly, gingko was the first plant species to restart growing after the nuclear explosion in Hiroshima! Bonus: it also resists weather, pests & pollution.

Other herbs on the list to treat alzheimer’s include turmeric, kava kava, St. Johnswort, valerian and huperzia serata.

Supplements include zinc, CoQ10, folic acid, iron, multivitamin, grapeseed extract, selenium, vitamins A, E, C and B complex, beta carotene, calcium/magnesium, kelp & apple pectin.

Plant your gingko biloba cuttings in light, roch soil in full sun. Mulch and enjoy.
